Job Details Grade: CS0-6 Salary: £22,866 – £36,480 per annum Contract Duration: Permanent Interview Date: 21 January 2019 Role Purpose The post holder will have responsibility for providing a broad, balanced and appropriate learning experience, in line with BGE and Senior Phase for small groups of children with significant social, emotional or self regulation needs. Although based in Hawick, the position requires flexibility to work across the Authority. Essential Primary or Secondary teaching qualification and full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland. A wide knowledge and understanding of the Secondary curriculum, including the principles of assessment, recording and reporting with particular emphasis on the needs of individual pupils. The ability to plan and deliver varied high quality teaching programmes matching the needs of pupils. Understanding of, and commitment to the principles of entitlement, inclusion and partnerships. An excellent working knowledge of how to build positive relationships and strategies and skills associated with this.. Ability to support, motivate and encourage all pupils, in particular those who experience barriers to learning. Ability to support, motivate and encourage staff. Ability to work positively with parents. Ability to work as part of a team.
