Job Title: Stores Person / Driver Responsible to: Logistics Manager Job Purpose: To ensure that orders are correctly picked and items are stored correctly in the company stores and is easily retrievable when required. Main responsibilities: Ensure stock items are stored correctly in stores holding area; Picking orders for Logistics/Production teams – can vary from electronic components, right through to complete kits; Checking the health and safety of the Stores area and maintaining safe upkeep; Driving the company van (3.5 tonne) to other company sites in Bristol, Shefford and a few other locations (mainly to company sub-contractor sites) approximately 3-4 times a month; Effectively completing daily check sheets and administration as required; Assisting Logistics/Shipping Manager with any other project work; Assisting other team members on an ad hoc basis with company tasks across the business as required. Knowledge of Excel and Word would be helpful. Do you carry out a criminal background check (DBS) on them? Principle terms: You will need to have a Full, Clean Driver’s Licence, which must have been held by yourself for over three years You must be confident driving a 3.5 tonne Company van You must be physically fit and able to carry out manual handling if ever required We are searching for someone who has previous experience of working within a Stores/Warehouse environment.
