Offnet Pricing Analyst

Role Summary We are currently seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as an Off-net Pricing Analyst. Principal responsibilities include: Sourcing quotes from 3rd-party telecom providers for serving client requirements. Sourced quotes should be at competitive market rates, be provided accurately and as per the turnaround time/service level agreement (SLA). The role requires understanding of telecom solutions, extensive interaction with global suppliers, excellent commercial understanding and good negotiation skills. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure turnaround of pricing requests are within set deadlines and SLAs Liaising with carriers on a daily basis to ensure deadlines are being met. Ensuring pricing is accurate and valid at time of quotation. To become a ‘center of excellence’ regarding carrier pricing, pricing databases and processes. To ensure that GCX obtains competitive market pricing (“best value for money”) for the requirement tendered. Work closely with Pre-sales, Sales and Engineering teams to understand the requirement and proactively keep all stakeholders up-to-date on the progress of pricing requests. To respond immediately to any requests escalated. To perform against all key performance indicators including the turnaround time SLA matrix. Provide administrative support and analysis reporting as required. Be responsible for pricing quotation sent to Sales and be confident in using any tools used to create quotes for customers. Key Performance Indicators Turn Around Time SLA adherence Accuracy of Quotes Price benchmarking Qualification & Experience Graduate in any discipline, preferably in Science or Business Administration. Technical/Functional Skills Good Knowledge and understanding the various access technologies, submarine cable systems and also regional knowledge on various access offerings. Ability to learn the use of vendor portals for pricing and checking of service availability. Affluent communication skills on emails and telephone. Should possess commercial understanding and market knowledge on the price points for various access offerings. Should be conversant with telecom products and services. Good negotiation skills. Should have worked on commercial sourcing in the past. Proficient in Excel. In addition to English, working proficiency in French, German, Spanish or Italian will be desirable. Commercial and procurement understanding will be an added advantage. Team Player
