Job Description Applications are invited for the post of a full-time maingrade educational psychologist to join Stirling’s Educational Psychology Service (EPS). The post provides an opportunity to become part of a creative team who are integral to the Children’s Service and who work closely with families, schools, partners and the local authority in securing better outcomes for Stirling’s children and young people. The successful applicant will have a key role along with team members in promoting evidence based practice, with a focus on early intervention and prevention. The post holder will be a motivated and reflective practitioner, contributing creativity and psychological knowledge and skills to drive forward local and national priorities in raising attainment and closing the poverty related attainment gap for Stirling’s children and young people. The service is currently leading on key priorities within Stirling Council such as whole school nurturing approaches, improving mental health and wellbeing, PEEP, video interactive guidance and action research at a local and national level. The service collaborates with a range of partners and with young people to improve outcomes. Requirements Stirling Council is committed to ensuring the safety of vulnerable people and our recruitment process is designed to support this.
