Salary: £16187 – £17683 per annum pro rata (£8.87 – £9.69 per hour) Temporary part time position until 19th March 2019 25 hours per week, term time Monday – Thursday 0845 – 1520 & Friday 0845-1225 (less breaks) To start asap Gullane Primary is a co-educational and non-denominational school that provides education for children of approximately three to twelve years. At present there are 200+ pupils over nine classes. The nursery provision is for 60 children aged 3-4 years with 30 spaces in the morning and 30 spaces in the afternoon. This is subject to change dependent on need across the authority. The school building is of an open plan design and comprises seven open bases and two closed classrooms. The early years’ area has a quiet room/library and the upper/middle area includes a library and staff work base. There is a self contained nursery class which has its own entrance and play area. The school has a central hall which provides a multipurpose space for P.E., music, drama, assembly and dining. This space is also used for a range of after school activities throughout the session. The school team consists of Head Teacher, 1 FTE Principal Teacher, 8 FTE class teachers, part-time Support for Learning teacher/s, specialist teachers in Art, Music and PE, 3 classroom assistants and 2 ASN auxiliaries. There are close links with North Berwick High School and other cluster primaries. Gullane has a Parent Carer Council and many parents help in the School.
