Job Description Work Pattern 5 days from 7 – Tuesday – Saturday An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Payback Order -Unpaid Work Service for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the service on a full time basis as a Social Work Assistant. You will be part of a multi-agency team delivering and co-ordinating the unpaid service provision to individuals subject to Community Payback Order. We are looking for a highly organised and conscientious individual to undertake the case management responsibilities in line with the National Outcomes and Standards for the Criminal Justice Services (2010). This post would require you to directly interact with service users and work with partner agencies to achieve successful completion of court imposed Community Payback Orders Requirements All applicants must be willing to undertake any relevant training and be committed to work with service users who are subject to the Community Payback Order scheme Employment History/Foreign Police Check Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad. This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003. The successful candidate will be subject to a criminal records check provided by Disclosure Scotland. This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Council.
